Ronald Ledermüller is a man with a mission: as a ranger in the Fichtelgebirge nature park, he wants to connect people and the environment, tradition and modernity. The film accompanies Ronald on an expedition to the nearly forgotten jewel "Fichtelgebirge", with its magical natural sites and its centuries-old history. A little-noticed world, where people have to constantly reinvent themselves and remain connected to their traditions and roots through creativity and innovation. At Ronald's side, a shepherdess, the operator of a woolen manufactory and a wood sculptor are committed to a future in harmony with nature.
Against the backdrop of the unique rock formations that characterize the Fichtel Mountains, charismatic ranger Ronald Ledermüller has dedicated his life to the development of the region and its people.
